frequently used answers!
Who is CheapCaribbean.com?
That's a good place to start! Begun in December 2000,
CheapCaribbean.com, Inc. was started by a family who enjoys spending
as much time in the Caribbean and Mexican sun as possible! With so
much confusion in the internet travel industry as to the "lowest
possible price", we decided to offer luxurious vacation packages,
resorts, villas, cruises, flights, auctions, and car rentals at the
most affordable price we could find…anywhere! Since we first opened
our internet doors, the response has been so overwhelming we hardly
have anytime to lay on the beach…what happened!
How do you have such great prices?
Wouldn't you like to know! Actually, we have thousands of companies,
suppliers, resort owners, agencies, etc. who provide us with the
lowest possible price on the best available vacations, and we simply
pass the savings along to you! Did you know during the course of a
year, it's estimated that over five million rooms, cabins, and airline
seats to the Caribbean and Mexico are empty? We simply search for the
most discounted deals to our favorite tropical destinations and offer
them at the lowest possible rates allowed by our vendors.
How does the reservation procedure
work?
We try to make the reservation process as easy as possible at
CheapCaribbean.com. Simply find the vacation package, resort, villa,
cruise, flight, auction, or car rental you are looking for and either
book online or call our toll free reservation center. We will confirm
your reservation in 24-48 hours based on CheapCaribbean.com
availability. Should you have questions, we can be reached online 24
hours a day at reservations@cheapcaribbean.com.
Nearly all confirmation documents can be sent via an email attachment,
which you simply print and present at check in.
Do I have to pay by credit
card?
Our current available inventory changes so rapidly that waiting even
an hour could mean the vacation you wanted is no longer available. By
making a credit card payment, we can immediately begin confirming the
reservation request. We do accept MasterCard, Visa, American
Express, and Discover as a convenience to our customers. We also
accept certified checks and money orders, but a
reservation cannot be confirmed until payments have been cleared by
our bank.
Can I cancel my vacation if my plans
change?
REVISIONS/CHANGES
Changes to dates, destinations, hotel, etc. can be made at any time for a
Change Fee of $50 per person (adults over the age of 12), plus any applicable
airline penalties, hotel cancellation penalties, and/or any increase in price
resulting from the change. Name changes are not allowed at anytime. Any increase in price for the land or
airfare will be the responsibility of the customer. CheapCaribbean.com must be
notified at least three hours prior to scheduled U.S. departure. Any additional
changes or cancellations will incur a change fee of $50 per person (adults over
the age of 12), plus any applicable airline penalties, hotel cancellation
penalties, and/or any increase in price resulting from the change. New travel
plans must be reserved and travel completed one (1) year from the original booking date and are
subject to availability. Air travel must be booked with the original carrier
and no refund or credit will be offered for reservations that result in a
decrease in price. No Shows - 100% penalty applies, and are not eligible for
any future travel credit.
CANCELLATION
At any time, cancellations will be assessed a $50 Cancellation Fee per
person (adults over the age of 12) plus any applicable hotel and
airline cancellation penalties. A credit towards future travel will be
issued for the balance remaining. New travel plans must be reserved and travel completed within one (1) year from the original booking date. Upon
rebooking, any increase in price for the land or airfare will be the
responsibility of the customer. All reservations are subject to
availability. Air travel must be booked with the original carrier and
no refund or credit will be offered for reservations that result in a
decrease in price. No Shows - 100% penalty applies, and not eligible
for any future travel credit.
WHAT ARE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CHEAPCARIBBEAN.COM SAVINGS CARD?
Rebate submissions must be received no later than 30 days after completion of travel. Any submissions received after 30 days of the return date will not be processed. Rebate forms must be filled out completely and legibly, front and back. Limit of ONE CLAIM PER RESERVATION; any additional submissions/addendums will not be processed. Only one savings card can be used per reservation. Illegible, invalid, mutilated receipts or copies of receipts will not be honored. Handwritten receipts from vendors must indicate vendor name, location and date and will be accepted up to $200 USD total (sum of all combined). Tips handwritten in on restaurant receipts will not be counted. Customer’s lists without accompanying receipts will not be honored. Purchases must indicate to have been made while at the destination of the reservation while on vacation with CheapCaribbean.com; purchases made during transit to/from destination do not qualify. Itemized receipts are preferred. For receipts which do not clearly specify if in foreign or US currency, the lesser rate will be used to calculate refund amount. Copies of credit card/bank statements will be accepted and are recommended to facilitate currency conversion as long as accompanied by the original sales receipts. For receipts denominated in foreign currency unaccompanied by credit card/bank statements, the refund amount will be computed using the average monthly exchange rate applicable on the first day of travel. All receipts subject to review/approval by CheapCaribbean.com; once a claim is processed, all refund amounts are final. If these terms and conditions are not met, rebate will not be processed and the claim can NOT be resubmitted. CheapCaribbean.com is not responsible for lost, postage due, late, mutilated, illegible or misdirected submissions. No claims against “lost” materials will be honored. Certified delivery is suggested. Materials received become the property of CheapCaribbean.com and will not be returned. Travel is required; cancelled bookings are no longer eligible for a rebate. Land-only bookings are only eligible if reservation is for 5 nights or longer. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion. For redemption; a maximum of $100 per reservation may be applied. A maximum of $50 per reservation may be applied for single travelers. CheapCaribbean.com and its associates reserve the right to audit any claims, request additional information, and nullify claims which cannot be substantiated, as well as to change without notice the Terms and Conditions, modify the offer, or end the offer at anytime without notice. Offer valid in the United States only. Void where prohibited by law.

What type of travel documents do I need
in the Caribbean and Mexico?
U.S citizens must present a valid U.S. passport when traveling via
air/sea between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and
South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda.
The passport requirement does NOT apply to U.S. citizens traveling to
or returning directly from a U.S. territory. U.S. citizens returning
directly from a U.S. territory are not considered to have left the
United States and do not need to present a passport. U.S. territories
include the following: Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands,
American Samoa, Swains Island, and the Commonwealth of the Northern
Mariana Islands.
